Purwokerto—Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) held an Archive Destruction Ceremony, organized by the Unit Kearsipan Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) on Friday, October 24, 2025. This event, held for the very first time, took place offline in the Aula Gedung Bambang Lelono.
The event began with the reading of the Activity Committee Report delivered by Salasati Atik Atikah, S.E., M.M as the Vice Chairperson of the Committee. In her report, she stated that this ceremonial event was a follow-up to a series of archive destruction activities that had been carried out previously. The ceremonial event was officially opened by the Vice Dekan FIB Unsoed, Sri Nani Hari Yanti, S.S., M,Hum., who in her remarks stated that this ceremonial activity was the first of its kind since the Faculty was established, and therefore this activity is expected to serve as a learning platform for organizers of archival activities in FIB.
Following the opening remarks, the event continued with the reading and signing of the destruction official report. The signing of this official report, in addition to involving the archive-creating unit represented by Sri Nani Hari Yanti, S.S., M.Hum. also involved internal and external parties of the Unit Kearsipan FIB as witnesses. Present as witnesses were Salasati Atik Atikah, S.E., M.M as the Head of General Affairs of FIB, Agus Taryono, S.E as the Team Leader of Finance and General Affairs of FIB, Dyah Nur Rachmawati, S.E as the Team Leader of Academic and Student Affairs of FIB, Nining Abriani, S.H., M.Si as the representative from the Archival Work Team of BKU, Dr.Siti Maghfiroh, S.E., M.Si as the representative from the Internal Supervisory Unit, and Lutfi Mubarok, S.E.,M.Si as the representative from the Legal and Administration Work Team of BKU. The event then proceeded with a group photo session and the symbolic destruction of archives.
With the tagline and spirit of “The old must go, so the new can be more secure,” this ceremonial activity is expected to become a momentum for reviving the archive life cycle in the Unit Kearsipan FIB and can be carried out sustainably in the future.
