Laboratorium Pertunjukan Seni, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, UNSOED, held a poetry reading and stand-up comedy competition on Monday, March 20, 2023. The event was organized to revive the spirit of performing arts among the academic community of FIB and its surroundings.
The competition held at Aula Gedung Bambang Lelono began at 4:00 PM and was participated in by 20 contestants consisting of 10 poetry reading participants and 10 stand-up comedy participants. The competition this time raised the theme of Campus Critique. The participants consisted of students from both FIB and outside FIB, education staff, and also lecturers.
Attending the event were the Dean of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, vice deans, heads of departments and study programmes, as well as lecturers and students as spectators. From the competition results, Faiz Khoirul Anam from Teknik Industri study programme was crowned champion 1 of the stand-up comedy competition, followed by Zeuska Aziz Alfarizi from Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia study programme as champion 2. The poetry competition was won by Muhammad Alfi from Sastra Indonesia study programme (champion 1) and Nur Rohman Wahid from Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia (champion 2).
The event was enlivened by performances of a band and modern dance from UKM Gema. It is hoped that this event can rekindle the enthusiasm for performing arts in the environment of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Unsoed.
