Jakarta – Naima Humaira, a student of the Sastra Inggris study programme at Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed), successfully won the gold medal in the Kompetisi Piano Nusantara Regional Level Jakarta held on December 7, 2024 at the Auditorium of Institut Français d’Indonésie (IFI) Jakarta.
In this prestigious competition, Naima delivered an impressive performance with a classical composition. Her deeply felt performance, perfect technique, and profound interpretation captivated the judges, earning her the champion title in the solo piano category.
“This is a very meaningful experience for me. I am deeply grateful for the support from my family, friends, and lecturers at FIB Unsoed who have always motivated me. Music is my way of expressing myself, and I am proud to represent Unsoed at such a grand event,” said Naima following the announcement of the winners.
The Dean of Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Dr. Ely Triasih Rahayu, also expressed pride in this achievement. “The accomplishment achieved by Naima demonstrates that FIB Unsoed students are capable of competing not only in academics but also in the arts. This is a great source of pride for us and proves that our campus is able to produce a young generation that is accomplished and multitalented,” she said.
Kompetisi Piano Nusantara is an annual event aimed at appreciating the talents of young Indonesian pianists, while also serving as a platform to introduce classical music to the younger generation. This year, the competition was held at the IFI Jakarta Auditorium, with participants from various regions showcasing their best abilities.
