PURWOKERTO – The Sastra Inggris study programme, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, held a socialization for the Independent Student Exchange Program 2 (PMM 2) for students from the class of 2019 and 2020. This socialization was held online via zoom meeting on May 23, 2022. The PMM 2 program is one part of the MBKM program conducted by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology. The socialization was provided by the Coordinator of Sastra Inggris, Tri Murniati, Ph.D., along with the study programme’s MBKM team.
In this PMM 2 program, students are given the opportunity to take courses outside their study programme at partner campuses totaling 20 credits consisting of 4 credits in the Modul Nusantara and 16 credits in courses that will later be converted with courses in the Sastra Inggris study programme at Unsoed. This PMM 2 activity with the tagline “Exchange for a Moment, Meaningful Forever” is expected to provide several benefits for students, including students gaining new experiences related to values of ethnic, religious, belief, cultural, and linguistic diversity;
students gaining opportunities to reflect on the values of nationalism and diversity they experience as part of their perspective in understanding real conditions they encounter daily; students gaining the opportunity to take elective courses outside their study programme; and expanding, deepening, and/or enriching students’ academic knowledge.
