Purwokerto, July 8, 2024 – Students from the D3 Bahasa Mandarin programme have achieved a remarkable accomplishment by winning 3rd place in the Traditional Barongsai Junior/Student category at the 2024 Central Java Regional Sports and Arts Festival (FORDA JATENG). This festive competition was held at GOR Jatidiri in Semarang and was attended by various teams from across Central Java.
FORDA JATENG is a prestigious event that combines various sports and arts disciplines, including Barongsai art, which has become an inseparable part of Chinese culture. The Traditional Barongsai Junior/Student category this year was participated in by dozens of teams consisting of students and university students. Each team demonstrated their skills and creativity in presenting the captivating art of Barongsai.
The D3 Bahasa Mandarin team had prepared intensively for several months. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, they conducted regular training that included physical exercise, movement coordination, and team cohesion.
