Purwokerto, July 4, 2024 – The Research and Community Engagement Team of the D3 Bahasa Mandarin Study Programme, along with students who will conduct field work internships (PKL), attended the main ProKlim verification activity for Panembangan Village, Cilongkok District, Banyumas Regency in 2024. The activity was also attended by the Verification Team from the Banyumas Regency Environmental Agency.
Program Kampung Iklim (ProKlim) is one of the initiatives launched by the Indonesian government to invite community participation in climate change mitigation efforts. ProKlim provides awards to villages that successfully implement concrete actions in climate change mitigation and adaptation. The ProKlim verification process is one of the important stages in assessment and recognition. This ProKlim Programme aims to increase community understanding regarding climate change and its impacts. Community Independence: Fostering community independence in implementing climate change adaptation, including preserving traditional wisdom values.
By implementing this comprehensive verification process, it is hoped that the Program Kampung Iklim can run effectively and provide tangible impact in climate change mitigation efforts in Indonesia.
